White Room Rally: Bathroom Facelift Accessories

After this past week of work, my bathroom feels like a new room. With the addition of accessories and textiles it’s already looking nearly complete.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I’m enjoying this black + white palette. It’s just so crisp and refreshing. Having a white shower curtain lets so much light into the bathroom. I especially love the bold black trim and how mimics the frame of the map hanging on the wall. They just belong together.

I’ve stayed away from using art in the bathroom because I’m afraid the steam from the shower will ruin anything we put up. Well, 5 years without art was starting to get to me, so I’m giving it a shot. At this point, I’d rather have something up and have to replace it now and again then have 5 more years of nothing.

I’ve also gone away from using a “bath mat” as a rug in this space. They were just too small and not durable enough. I’m not a big fan of the classic cut-pile bath-mats anyway.

I decided to go with an indoor/outdoor rug from Dash & Albert (here). I love their rugs and by going with an actual rug, it is larger than your run-of-the-mill mat and it will definitely stand up to some major foot traffic.

Jennifer is talking about her gallery wall this week. I’m loving the little antlers!black and white photo grouping with antlers

She’s also been installing shelving, so hop over to Brave New Home and check out her progress!

Next week is the big reveal and I’ve left the hardest things for last, like installing my faucet and lighting. BTW I still haven’t purchased anything, so fingers crossed that I can make this happen FAST!
