Reader DIY: Finders Keepers

March 4, 2013

Are you on Instagram? It’s an addiction for me. I love sharing photos, they tell so much! You know, the whole 1000 word saying. I was so excited when my cousin Kat tagged me in one of her pics. I wanted to share some of her handy-work that was inspired by my diy chandelier makeover post here

She started out with a brass chandelier that she found on her street. Gotta love a free score! $15 later with a can of spray paint and some ultra chic round bulbs she gave her dining room a new look! diy painted chandelier

She and her hubs are in an apartment and sometimes (now this is me speaking from my own experience) you want to put your own mark on your place but don’t want to sink money into things you can’t take with you. So I’m loving this fix. It’s resourceful and personal, it really allows them make a quasi temporary home more their own.  Fabulous job Kat! Thanks so much for sharing!

I’m totally brass obsessed too right now ;) I do love black chandeliers though, so much drama.
