The Weekender

Hello! Happy Monday to all. Forgive me for being overly cheery this Monday but I just had the most fabulous weekend. My little sis and her fam came to town over the weekend, one of my nephews turned 2 and I celebrated my 6 year wedding anniversary! So this weekend was one non-stop par-tay!

Saturday night Norrie slept over at my folks so Bryan and I could stay out and celebrate our anniversary. I got to wear my shiny red shoes, eat food that was served to me, drink beer that was brought to me and sit through an entire meal without chasing/entertaining/feeding/cleaning a child. I can’t tell you what a treat the whole night was!

The next morning was spent leisurely sipping coffee and eating quiche.

Did I mention Bry got me a sewing machine?! Yay! Now I can do projects in-house instead of bothering my friends and family for their machines. It was a totally unexpected gift and he is simply the best husband for listening to me when I make random mentions of the million and 1 things I want!

We finished Sunday off with a birthday brunch for my nephew. Big Sis and her hubby made omelets to order, waffles, bread pudding, bacon, goetta, fruit salad…the list goes on it was all so delicious and I’m wishing for seconds as I type.

The birthday boy did great with his candles. I love the big inhale and the chocolate trifle, to-die-for!

Oh yeah, and this happened…I turn my head for one sec and Norrie dumped the entire container of puffs on the floor and proceeded to eat them. My favorite part is the deer in headlights look she gives when being caught!
