Lack Hack Plans

Hello to all my weekend-warriors! I’m joining you this weekend to create a fun new table. I will be trying my hand at an Ikea Hack of the Lack Table. I can’t tell you how excited I am for this. My lips are sealed with the design, you’ll have to check back Wednesday for the final result. But I guess one hint couldn’t hurt…think gold!

Lets start out with some before shots just incase you aren’t familiar with the Ikea Lack Table.

Ok, that’s better. Please excuse my ball of fur she’s all about being the center of attention. So the Lack Table is a simple square side table. I purchased mine in black about 5 years ago. They still sell them and for a great price, starting out at $7.99!

Right now I’m using the table for Norrie to play on. It’s the perfect height for her to stand and play.

The low down:

Young House Love has lit a fire under me to get this project rolling. Here’s a link to their challenge. To sum it up, they are calling readers to find a craft on Pinterest that you have been planning on making and adding a little twist to it to make it your own, (linking back to your original inspiration of course.) They put up the most adorable video to explain the challenge, if you don’t feel up to the challenge you should at the very least watch this video it stars the cutest kiddos.
