Valentine DIY – A perfect match
Happy Valentine’s Day my lovelies! I hope you are full of chocolate and covered in kisses!
In honor of this lovely day I’m showing you a 5 minute DIY card for your valentine! You could say it is a match made in heaven! short and sweet diy’s are my fave.
You probably have everything you need for this card lying around your house.
You’ll need:
Heavy paper, a marker, a glittery pen, a pencil, a match and some glue.
To start out I used a 12”x12” piece of scrapbooking paper cut in half. I then folded the paper in half like a card. From there I lightly wrote the words “Together We’re A Perfect” in pencil, just as a guide. Where the word “Match” should be after “Perfect” you’ll substitute an actual match. Adorable.
From that point I traced over my pencil with a black marker. **Tip-for a quick faux calligraphy look make all the down strokes of your letters wider.
Once you’ve filled in all your letters glue your match on. **Tip-Matches are normally uneven so find the flattest side of your match before gluing.
After securing your match with glue dress your card up with some glitz! I used a gold paint pen and just added some swirling dots. You can also add sequins or glitter to glam it up!
Before you know it your 5 minutes are up! Ta-Da! You have yourself a beautiful card for your special valentine.
Enjoy! Happy Valentine’s Day!
