Wha? It’s January?!

Happy New Year!  It’s January?!? When did that happen? i think i missed a week…There are so many things to do this year, organizing, crafting, painting (sigh.) Before I get into any of that I thought I’d do a Christmas recap.

As you know, I asked Santa for beach-wave-hair (here) for Christmas. Sadly, I didn’t get it, but I did get the flu! (guess I was bad) I didn’t miss Christmas, just the week in-between Christmas and New Year. This was really sad for me because my husband and I planned some fun family outings with his time off along with time with his side of the family. Instead, he had days and days of daddy-daughter time and I slept in my bed aching, chilling and being very groggy. Before the flu hit we did manage to have the best Christmas I can remember.

Norrie is at the age where presents are a curiosity, so it was fun to watch her peel the paper, climb inside boxes and share with her cousins. We also had our first snow of the year. This was not exciting for me but it was new to Norrie! She lasted maybe 5 minutes before she realized that digging her fingers in the fluffy white stuff hurts really, really bad without mittens. But, what 13 mo. old actually wears their mittens?! She also had her first sleep over! Which meant I didn’t have to get up for the first time in over a year!! YAY! There was also caroling, a trip to the museum, more food than I can list and lots of family funnery!
